My Trip to Alabama

Well I had a great trip to Alabama last weekend!! We woke up bright and early for our flight out of Dallas. We got into Birmingham about 930ish am. Kevin's dad picked us up and we went by the house and dropped off our stuff and relaxed for a bit. Then Kevin wanted to go check out the new high school that they had built in Trussville. Needless to say...it was GORGEOUS!! Kevin was soo jealous! The gym was ridiculous and made Kevin want to go play basketball again. I think the whole school was like an $80 something million dollar thing! Here are a few pictures.

Then we went shopping for a bit for a wedding present for his friend and got Kevin some jackets...it was cold there!!! After that I got the whole Trussville tour! Saw all of Kevin's old homes and schools. We went by his old church and basically saw everything important. Ohhhh and i forgot to mention we had lunch at Milo's, which is Kevin's FAVORITE burger joint!!! He loves it sooo much he had to go back for a second burger. I got chicken strips. Now Milo's is known for their "special" sauce and Kevin made me keep an open mind about it. But in the end, I didn't like it :( !! I feel like I let him down because he loves it sooooo much! But ohhh well!

Then after all that we went back to the house and just rested since we had gotten up sooo early. That evening some of Kevin's friends came over and we had pizza and played pool for a bit. Then we decided to go check out Hewitt-Trussville's HS football playoff game. It was COLD, but we had a great time. They ended up winning in the last seconds off an "Illegal Equipment" Penalty!! haha, we didn't even know that existed, but hey it worked out for them!!

Then on Saturday we went and had lunch with Kevin's grandparents who are SUPER sweet!!! We ate at O'Charlies, where Kevin loves their rolls, and boy were they good!!! Also I think Alabama is soo pretty, they actually have the season FALL. All the trees were different colors. It was gorgeous.

Then late that afternoon we got ready and went to Kevin's friend, Jana's wedding! It was really pretty and we had a good time!! I met alot of people there!! But we had a great time in Alabama and we'll be back there for Christmas!!
